LTE PoE router configuration

INVOLI provides an LTE PoE router as optional equipment for connecting the G-1090 receiver with INVOLI central server. It is necessary to configure the LTE router before the first use. The information below helps to connect it to the PC, log in to the router's Web GUI, and make the necessary changes.

WARNING:

1. The SIM card with a data plan is necessary to connect the G-1090 air traffic receiver to INVOLI central server, using the LTE PoE router.

2. The router is intended to be installed indoors.

SIM card installation

1. Unscrew the cover of the SIM card and take it off.

2. Put the SIM card into the top slot, as shown below, and screw the cover-up. The router has a second SIM slot, which is a dummy in the delivered hardware version.

Connecting the PC to the LTE router

Configuration in the router

The two parameters given below are necessary for connecting to the Internet using cellular networks:

1. APN - provide the Access Point Name (APN) for the cellular connection provided by your mobile operator. Often it is internet, but it can vary between operators.

2. PIN Code - it is provided in the SIM card package and unlocks the SIM.

Cellular antenna installation

The router is provided with two cellular network antennas (see picture below). They should be firmly fixed to the router and mounted with the help of a magnetic base at some distance between each other.

When everything is configured properly, the computer connected to the router should have internet connectivity via the router itself.

PoE option

The delivered LTE router has PoE capability and it will supply power to the INVOLI receiver over the Ethernet cable. Please use the LAN2 port for connecting to the G-1090 receiver.
