G-1090 Firmware Release Notes

G-1090 Firmware Release Notes

2.0.1 (12.04.2024)

Fix GNS and remote ID USB port conflict

2.0.0 (09.04.2024)

What's new:

  • New configuration option for networks with non standard network link MTU.
  • Fallback from secondary custom NTP server to primary NTP server when it becomes reachable during runtime.
  • Support for DNS servers not handling DNSSEC.
  • Enhanced receiver monitoring capabilities for air traffic reception and GNSS.

1.9.4 (13.12.2023)

Improve routing of UDP transponder messages when using VPN tunnel.

1.9.3 (25.11.2023)

Fix time synchronisation issue introduced in 1.9.0. As a consequence some transponder messages have been discarded after reception.

1.9.2 (11.10.2023)

Minor fixes for traffic routing trough VPN tunnel

1.9.1 (29.09.2023)

Minor fixes

1.9.0 (27.09.2023)

What's new:

  • The configured NTP server is now used as a secondary server only if the default public time server cannot be reached.
  • It is now possible to enable/disable individual transponder modes (ADS-B, Mode-S, Mode A/C). If a mode is disabled, the corresponding transponder messages are dropped. This can help to reduce the overall network traffic transmitted by the G-1090.

1.8.0 (22.06.2023)

What's new:

  • VPN connection to INVOLI server that can optionally be configured to tunnel all traffic form the receiver. This is useful in situations where the local network firewall does allow connections to INVOLI's VPN server but might block other internet connections.

1.7.0 (03.05.2023)

What's new:

  • Transponder messages (1090MHz) can now be filtered by the receiver using a minimum RSSI threshold setting.

1.6.0 (21.03.2023)

What's new:

  • The message format for sending transponder data from the receiver to the server has been optimized.
Therefore, from this firmware update onwards, the receivers are not compatible with the legacy INVOLI.live anymore but only with the new INVOLI.live platform.
  • Fix an issue where traffic from the Remote ID broadcast detections was not correctly handled in the Involi web socket data streams.
  • The firmware update process now uses https/443 instead of http/80 to check server availability after the firmware update has been installed. This prevents firmware update failure in case of port 80 blocked (but port 443 open).
  • Fixing an issue where the connection to send transponder data could not be established because of IPv6 address resolution. Now, only IPv4 addresses are used for the connection.

1.5.0 (17.01.2023)

What's new:

  • Improve UAT reception. We now receive ‘downlink’ and ‘uplink’ messages.
  • Fix an issue with the FLARM receiver that sometimes did not reconnect to the server after a connection loss.
  • Fix an issue where the mechanism introduced in 1.3.0 to lease an IP from the DHCP server did not work correctly under some circumstances.

1.4.0 (09.09.2022)

What's new:

  • Full support for FLARM SkyLens receiver.

1.3.0 (27.07.2022)

What's new:

  • As long as there is no connection to the INVOLI server the G-1090 will now try to obtain a new DHCP lease instead of keeping the static fallback IP. This is useful in case a DHCP server only appears in the network after having installed and connected the G-1090.

1.2.0 (16.05.2022)

What's new:

  • System logs are automatically uploaded to the INVOLI server.
  • The default static IP used if there is no DHCP server available is now 192.168.123.123.
  • New web-based configuration tool to configure the network (e.g. static IP) and NTP server settings. The tool can be accessed by the direct network. connection to the G-1090 on port 8080 (e.g. http://192.168.123.123:8080).
  • Beta Support for FLARM SkyLens receiver.
  • Fixed an issue with the receiver status sometimes wrongly indicating a problem in cases we only receive a very low number of transponder messages.

1.1.0 (28.08.2021)

What's new:

  • If no DHCP server is available in the network the G-1090 will now use a static network configuration with IP 192.168.1.200 as default.

1.0.0 (19.04.2021)

Initial release.
